Kumkum Turmeric Tray

Lifestyle Accessory Design

A functional puja tray designed for everyday use. The kumkum and turmeric tray is created for modern Telugu households but still adds a sense of cultural symbolism. It uses a teakwood base with brass inlay, features larger cups to reduce spills, and includes magnets for a more stable experience. The cups are detachable for easy cleaning.

These early digital sketches helped me define the overall structure and proportions of the tray. I explored different layouts for the base, and how it would all come together.

The aim was to keep the form compact while allowing enough functionality for daily use. I also tested variations in height, spacing, and symmetry to make sure the design felt stable and balanced.

The renders focus on the tray’s compact footprint, balanced layout, and material finish. They highlight details like the brass inlay, detachable cups, and the way each element fits together to create a stable, easy-to-maintain product.
